Louisiana historic sites system, and scanned documents issues

Most if not all of Louisiana's NRHP-listed sites have info sheets available from the state now, via Louisiana state historic sites system. Use of this is documented a bit at

wp:NRHPhelp#Louisiana. The info sheets appear to be text obtained by optical character recognition processing of scanned sections from original NRHP nomination/registration documents. The authors and dates are omitted. The scanning and OCR
in some cases yields nonsensical or seemingly-plausible-but-incorrect statements

submitted in batch01:20, reported by NRHP_RT to be fixing in NRIS as of 3/4/2009. doncram (talk) 23:23, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Alice C Planation House — correct "Planation" to "Plantation" per http://www.crt.state.la.us/hp/nhl/document2.asp?name=51024001.pdf&title=Alice+C+Plantation+House, its nomination form. Nyttend (talk) 15:51, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Pegram Plantation House may or may not also sometimes be known as "Peagram Plantation House", which is the title of the Louisiana documentation page for it, at http://www.crt.state.la.us/dataprojects/hp/nhl/view.asp?ID=1221. The nomination text which it links to uses "Pegram" only. So "Peagram" appears to be a typo in the Louisiana documentation page. --doncram 14:56, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lake Providence Residential Historic District seems to be the proper name for the 1980-listed district, per Louisiana documentation for the Lake Providence Multiple Resource Area, but NRIS lists as "Lake Providence Residential Street Historic District" (with "Street" added, seemingly incorrectly). --doncram 23:18, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lake Providence Commercial Historic District seems to be the proper name for the 1979-listed district, per its documentation, but NRIS has it as "Lake Providence Historic District" (omitting the "Commercial"). --doncram 23:18, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Schepis Building, on Main St., Columbia, Louisiana, is listed in NRIS as "Shepis Building". Builder was Schepis, Nicholas John, which NRIS lists as "Shepis, Nicholas John". Refnum = 86000069. Louisiana documentation: "Schepis Building" (PDF). State of Louisiana's Division of Historic Preservation. with two photos and two maps. --doncram 01:49, 10 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Beauregard Town Historic District (Boundary Increase), refnum 99001712, is described in NRIS as being located in "Beauregard Town, Louisiana". But it is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as NRIS describes correctly for the original and other increase listings for Beauregard Town Historic District. doncram (talk) 13:44, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • LA 485 and Blosmoore Road, in vicinity of Allen, Louisiana. Per Google maps, Allen is a hamlet about 3.5 miles away. However NRIS identifies Spanish Lake, Louisiana as the nearest city; Google maps shows a Spanish Lake very very far away. The NRHP registration document does not say the church is in or near Spanish Lake; it merely mentions a Spanish Lake in the title of a source. "Spanish Lake" should be dropped from all mention in NRIS. --doncram 13:37, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply
