Welcome to wikiproject Townsville. Townsville, Queensland, is Northern Australia's largest city (or the largest above the tropic of Capricorn in Australia) and some Wikipedians have decided to collaborate on this topic.
This wikiproject was created in August 2006. It comes under the scope of the larger WikiProject Australian places and WikiProject Queensland.
As Australia's 13th largest, and Northern Australia's largest city, our goal is to detail, expand and standardise the articles related to Townsville and The Former city of Thuringowa in Queensland.
