Many users think that the current main page is dull, too long, stuff is not in the right place, etc. People are mostly happy with mine, except for the colors, so I would like users who want the colors changed to tell me on this talk page (you can also comment on stuff not related to the colors). If you like the current color, you can say "current" (current means the current ones for mine, not the current one). 1. I like show/hide!
2. I like full width for Featured Picture. (Though I'd prefer to see the "featured" star icon there and in the heading below it.)
3. I like pointing out "more than 10,000,000 articles in more than 250 languages"!
4. You have a lot of white space in that top "Wikipedia" collapsible box. Perhaps a couple of words for each of the links? And/or cut out the ones which just duplicate what's in the left panel! I still find (after over a year active) that the links on the present main page send me on a merry chase, what with all the duplicates, and the ones which appear to be duplicates, but aren't!
5. I like the short-and-simple Welcome lines at the top!

I don't have a better idea for all of these, but I do think the bright green for DYK is a little much. I'd also change the grey of OTD to something a bit more colorful, and perhaps make the red of ITN a bit darker. The yellow is OK for today's featured picture, but the other featured content orange is very bright. I do like the two shades of blue at the top of the page, though.
