Preparation for Mediation Commencement
Good day, Parties. In anticipation of the Mediation commencing, I'd like to give you the low-down on how we'll go around trying to reach an amicable agreement on the dispute.
As you'll know if you've read
Naturally, we'll begin at Stage 1. This step of Mediation requires the parties to draw up a statement (usually <200 words, or thereabouts, depending on the complexity of the dispute), outlining their exact stance on each issue (e.g., I do believe that Source X should be included in the introduction to article Example) in the dispute, and a very brief explanation as to why you have taken each view (there will be many more opportunities for elaboration on your justification for each stance in subsequent Mediation Stages).
In order to keep things moving, I generally request that parties put their stances into a short, bullet-point list; however, in the meanwhile you may wish to take each issue (see the case page) and set your stances down in writing. I'll provide an example of how, I reckon, the statements should be ordered (a template, of sorts), and we'll proceed from there.
Parties are also reminded that: (a) Formal Mediation takes a long time, and indeed is one of the longest forms of Dispute Resolution available on the encyclopedia; and (b) your regular input and checking back here is required, as Mediation cannot work if there is a 24+ hour lag in Parties responding to new developments (after all, Mediation takes long enough as it is).

Invitation to Draft Statements
I repeat my invite, above, for parties to draft statements in the aforementioned format, in preparation for an intended commencement to the Mediation. Parties should e-mail me, in strict confidence, if they require assistance in drafting these statements, or they have any other queries about this Mediation.
Kind regards,
Mediator's Note on Inactive Parties
It is now obvious that two of the three
It is my intention, failing input within the next 24 hours from these parties, to close this case as stale, due to party inactivity. This is following numerous attempts at contacting said parties, on-Wiki and privately, within the previous 2-3 weeks. Parties may note their activity, either through editing this page, or by contacting me privately.
Case Closed
This case has been closed due to party inactivity. The fact that only one party has even edited this page clearly highlights this inactivity. Mediation simply cannot take place without any input whatsoever from all but one party.
If or when the other two parties return to Wikipedia, and still view this dispute as being relevant, they are free to request Mediation,
Kind regards,
