You know what would be interesting to see? Wikipedia hits from non-logged-in users... this would be a reasonble approximation of "customers" as opposed to "staff". I don't know if that's a feasible statistic to collect... - Khendon

since the stats do not appear to support this interpretation of a sudden jump that differs from previous patterns.

2003 Mar 08, 169019
2003 Mar 09, 179610
2003 Mar 10, 246672
2003 Mar 11, 286787, big slowdown on this day
2003 Mar 12, 316539, back to over 300k, problems with timeouts

Why the sudden leap over the last few days? Is there any more detailed analysis of the last few days to see what the most popular articles have been? - Khendon 10:07 Mar 13, 2003 (UTC)

Is there life here?

If this page is dead, it should be marked as such. But I for one would be interested in Wikipedia traffic stats, even just a simple hits per day — just something a bit more up-to-date than 2003 Mar 13. Note that the link to http://www.wikipedia.org/stats/ seems to be dead, also http://noc.wikimedia.org/reqstats/reqstats-daily.png etc. — Johan the Ghost seance 19:44, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This page had not been edited for about 3 years! Now, that is a long, long time. Maybe, we should try to bring this page back alive again. --Siva1979Talk to me 19:51, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note that the link to http://www.wikipedia.org/stats/ still appears dead and links to a page at http://www2.knams.wikimedia.org/ which gives the message "sorry, the statistics are offline for the moment". 155.198.63.112 16:08, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this page is no longer maintained, and should be archived. More recent data is available at Wikipedia:Statistics and from WikiCharts, It might be interesting to combine the more recent data with the older data set to create a longer-term timeline. -- The Anome 13:35, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
