Plot

While in a restaurant, Carla Davenport, the restaurant cashier; Charlie Archenault, a driving-school teacher; Bruce Laraby, an

suicidal gunman shoots several people (including Annie's father) and then himself. The film shows the aftermath as these five traumatized people struggle to regain their trust in the ordinary world.[5]

The website's critical consensus reads, "Sensitive but not insightful, Fragments pieces an ensemble together in the same way Crash did but without the gravitas."[6]
