Homeland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democrats

Homeland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democrats, asked to bring forward the election of the party leader, because he wanted to check the mandate of trust in the party after the 2016 Lithuanian parliamentary election.[1]
The chairman of this party was elected for the first time for four years. Until this election, term has lasted two years.
Candidates
The candidates were announced on 9 January 2017.[2] Incumbent leader Gabrielius Landsbergis was able to run.
