He competed for Senegal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 57 kg division. He was defeated by Yowlys Bonne of Cuba in the first round.[1] He was the flag bearer for Senegal during the closing ceremony.[2]

Through the 2021 African & Oceania Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament, he earned qualification to represent Senegal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.[3][4]
