History

Akissforjersey formed in July 2004 in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina.[1][2] Their members currently are vocalist, Zach Dawson, drummer, Joey Allen, former bassist and current guitarist Tyler Lucas, another guitarist, Bob Gassett, and current bassist, Parker Williams,[3][4] with their former members, guitarists Matthew Bean and Cory Wood, who both left between 2008 and 2014.[3][4][5] In early 2009, the band broke up, but on December 24, 2009, they reformed.[6]

They released their debut album, Keep Your Head Above the Water, through

Heatseekers Albums, at a peak position of 26.[14]

Touring

The band has played at the debut

Impending Doom, Sleeping Giant, Soul Embraced, Haste the Day, Before Their Eyes, and War of Ages.[15] In August 2008, the band went on a US tour alongside War of Ages and Oh, Sleeper.[16]
