Amol Dighe

Amol Dighe is a Professor of Physics in

Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for science and technology, the highest science award in India, for the year 2013 in physical science category.[1]
His main research interest is in the area of
high energy physics with focus on particles known as neutrinos, their nature and the role they play in astrophysics and cosmology.[2]
Dighe completed his BTech in Engineering Physics (1992) from
Max Planck Institute
before joining TIFR as a faculty member in 2003. He is a fellow the
Indian Academy of Sciences and has won the Swarnajayanti Fellowship from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.[2]
