Development

The compilation was first announced in an interview with news website Jiji in 2017, Capcom's COO, Haruhiro Tsujimoto, said that the Ace Attorney series was going to receive support on the Nintendo Switch, with a mainline entry, and two compilations, one of the original trilogy and one including games 4 through 6 in the series.[1]

Development for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy began in 2021. The development team aimed to create a gameplay experience for both newcomers and longtime fans.[2]

On June 12, 2023, Capcom announced it would publish the compilation that includes high-definition remastered versions of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice. The game was to feature an updated UI, high-resolution artwork, and localization in seven languages.[3][4]

The compilation was produced by Kenichi Hashimoto. All three included games were imported to RE Engine.[5]

Reception

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy received "generally favorable" according to review aggregator website Metacritic.[6][7][8][9] 90% of critics recommended the game according to OpenCritic.[10]
