The Apostolic Nunciature to the Republic of Peru is an ecclesiastical office of the
, whose representative is called the Apostolic Nuncio with the rank of an ambassador.Papal representation was established in Peru by the Apostolic Delegation to Peru and Bolivia, a single office resident in Peru. As a delegation, it had no diplomatic status but acted on behalf of the
Apostolic internuncio is a title given in anticipation of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the exchange of ambassadors. The Nunciature to Peru was established on 20 July 1917.[2]
