Aretas I
Aretas I (/ˈærɪtəs/;[1] Nabataean Aramaic: 𐢊𐢛𐢞𐢞 Ḥārītaṯ;
Jason, the High Priest of Israel who founded a Greek quarter in Jerusalem
, was held prisoner by Aretas I after being forced to leave Jerusalem.
