Bałtów [ˈbau̯tuf] is a village in Ostrowiec County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in southeastern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Bałtów. It lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski and 68 km (42 mi) east of the regional capital Kielce.[1]

History

The village dates back to the

town rights before 1751 and losing them before 1790.[2]
Bałtów ceased to be a private village in 1864.
