Background

On May 4, just a few days after the launch of its new streaming service

Impact Wrestling announced that it was going to form a partnership with the San Antonio-based independent promotion
River City Wrestling to hold an event called Bash at the Brewery at the Freetail Brewery in San Antonio on July 5 and the event would be exclusively aired live on Impact Plus.

On June 15, it was announced that

Knockouts Championship against Rosemary, Su Yung and Havok in a four-way Monster's Ball match at Slammiversary XVII
. It was later announced that Rosemary and Yung would compete in a warmup match at Bash at the Brewery.

On June 23, it was announced that Eddie Edwards would face Michael Elgin in a match at Bash at the Brewery.[4]

On June 24, it was announced that the RCW Freetail Cup winner Anthony Andrews would face Impact Wrestling roster member and the RCW Heavyweight Champion Fallah Bahh at Bash at the Brewery.[5]

On June 24, a non-title match was announced between the

to take place at Bash at the Brewery.
