On May 4, just a few days after the launch of its new streaming service

Impact Wrestling announced that it was going to form a partnership with the San Antonio-based independent promotion
River City Wrestling to hold an event called Bash at the Brewery at the Freetail Brewery in San Antonio on July 5 and the event would be exclusively aired live on Impact Plus.

On June 24, it was announced that the RCW Freetail Cup winner Anthony Andrews would face Impact Wrestling roster member and the RCW Heavyweight Champion Fallah Bahh at Bash at the Brewery.[5]
