Briaroaks is located in northern Johnson County at 32°29′33″N 97°18′8″W / 32.49250°N 97.30222°W (32.492470, –97.302234).

In the city, the population was spread out, with 22.1% under the age of 18, 5.1% from 18 to 24, 22.1% from 25 to 44, 35.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
