Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) north-east of Mrągowo and 64 km (40 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn
.

As a result of the

League of nations, which resulted in 80 votes to remain in Germany and none for Poland.[2]
Thus the village remained part of Germany until 1945.
