Since this cat, though already large, needs to be more thoroughly populated, I thought it would help if editors posted here which sections they've already combed through. I combed through one section this morning, and cat'ed every article with "Battery" or "Artillery" in the title, got about 20 or so added. I also piped the category to get all the units for a given state to be listed under that letter, so all the Ohios together vice all the "3rd" together.

• Swept all of Category:Military units and formations of the Confederate States Army, though there were only a dozen or so; I guess a lot of the articles still need to be written. Also created Category:Military units and formations of the American Civil War by type to file arty, cav, sharpshooter, etc. units into to keep the main cat clean. Also swept Category:African_American_units_of_the_American_Civil_War and Category:Artillery units and formations. Barring any other ideas, I think it's mainly the Union Army regiments cat that needs sweeping. MatthewVanitas (talk) 18:56, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
