Improvements

In my brief look over a number of the pages in this category, including

WP:CITE
for why they need these). While I recognise that these awards exist, I am concerned for a number of reasons

  1. As I mentioned, there are no citations, to either the homepage for the awards, or to newspaper articles about them
  2. A number of the articles are incomplete (e.g. Nandi_Award_for_Best_Director) or empty (e.g. Nandi Award for Best Female Dubbing Artist and Nandi Award for Best Special Effects).
  3. None of the 'awards' articles have a description of what the award is given for.

As such, I'm suggesting the following,

  1. The homepage for the awards (if it exists) and links to newspapers are given on the main page Nandi Awards.
  2. Minor award pages are deleted and rolled into the main page
  3. Major award pages are given a description, appropriately cited
  4. Examination of similar award categories (such as
    Golden_Globe
so as to reuse design features and ideas

As I am not familiar with these awards at all, nor in fact with this sort of article and category, I won't be taking part in this revamp. ~AFA ʢűčķ¿Ю 15:34, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for bringing this topic and agree it needs rethinking. The citations for last few years exist from some online news papers, but for many years it is difficult to get them. I am okay to bring them into one page, but problem with that aproach is they will be too many lines(40 per category and there are around 30 catagories). I have lot of other entries I need to fill in, when I get time. Government of A.P. gives these awards every year. mlpkr 21:52, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If there is a homepage for the Awards it would be easy to verify the information would it not? Except I can't find a homepage ... Here is an idea, for the awards you do have information for, could you simply have the years that you have? And then add the lines as you get the information ... Anyway, I'll leave it up to you to decide. ~AFA ʢűčķ¿Ю 16:40, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
