Hjermind played club handball for

Danish Handball League season.[1]
He moved abroad to play for
Danish Handball Cup trophies, before moving back to Ciudad Real in 2007.[3]

He represented the Danish national handball team at the 2002 European Championship,[4] winning bronze medals, the 2003 World Championship,[5] the 2004 European Championship,[6] winning bronze medals, and the 2005 World Championship.[7]
