Chuokoron-Shinsha, Inc. (株式会社中央公論新社, Kabushiki-gaisha Chūōkōron-shinsha) is a Japanese

publisher. It was established in 1886, under the name Kabushiki-gaisha Chūōkōron-sha (株式会社中央公論). In 1999, it was acquired by The Yomiuri Shimbun Holdings,[3]
and its name was subsequently changed to Chūōkōron-shinsha.

The company publishes a wide variety of material, including numerous

literary awards and prizes across Japan, such as the renowned Chūōkōron Prize.[4]
