Daddy Issues is an upcoming BBC Three comedy television series created by Danielle Ward. It stars Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey.

Synopsis

An odd-couple sitcom in which a pregnant party-girl and her recently divorced father end up in a flat-share in Stockport.[1]

Production

Comedian and writer Danielle Ward has written the six-part series which has Lynn Roberts as producer, while Phil Gilbert is executive producer for Fudge Park Productions. Also executive producing are Aimee Lou Wood, David Morrissey, Ward and Damon Beesley who also directs, alongside Caterine Morshead.[2]

Casting

Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey were announced in the lead roles Gemma and Malcolm in December 2023.[3] Susan Lynch is set to play the mother of Gemma.[4] The rest of the cast was confirmed in February 2024, including David Fynn, Sharon Rooney, Sarah Hadland, Taj Atwal, Arian Nik, Tom Stourton, Susan Lynch, Susannah Fielding, Lauren O'Rourke, Cyril Nri, Cora Kirk, Perry Fitzpatrick, Claire Keelan, Damien Molony, Sherrie Hewson, Humphrey Ker, and David Reed.[5]

Filming

Filming got underway in Manchester in December 2023.[6][7]
