Demographics
Based on the 2007 national census conducted by the
Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, with 99.92% reporting that as their religion.[2]
The 1994 national census reported a total population for this woreda of 130,939 in 26,453 households, of whom 65,388 were men and 65,661 were women; 1,696 or 1.3% of its population were urban dwellers. The largest ethnic group reported in Dega Damot was the
Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, with 99.95% reporting that as their religion.[3]
Fekadu Molla is one of the famous and the most respected man at dega damot.
