. On March 12, 2019, Lonely released his debut mixtape titled Darkhorse. On August 23, 2019, Lonely released his debut extended play titled Forever, ILY. On March 6, 2020, Lonely released his second mixtape titled Underworld. On June 26, 2020, Lonely released his second extended play titled Lord. On September 25, 2020, Lonely released his third mixtape titled </3. On December 1, 2020, Lonely released his fifth mixtape titled Overseas. On January 7, 2021, Lonely released his third extended play titled XO.

In August 2022, Lonely released his fifth mixtape No Stylist, which would gain mainstream attention, debuting at number 91 on the US Billboard 200 chart. In March 3, 2023, Lonely released his single "If Looks Could Kill", which debuted at number 30 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, gaining popularity in social media platform TikTok. Single would appear on Lonely's debut studio album If Looks Could Kill, which would gain even more mainstream attention, debuting at number 18 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
