The Japan women's national football team in 2024, managed by head coach Futoshi Ikeda, competed in different international friendly matches around the year both at home and abroad. In February, they competed in the 2024 AFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament, starting on the third round. The two third round winners will qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics.[1]
