Alina Orchestra is a professional orchestra based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England[1][2][3]. It was founded in 2017 by Nick Cutts, who is currently Chief Executive believing that "Alina could act as a ‘resource’ for communities"[4]. Concerts are often put on by the orchestra revolving around this community aspect including concerts to celebrate women in the community for events like National women's day[5][6], and to celebrate Milton Keynes' City status along with the King's Coronation[7]. The orchestra creates concerts aiming to introduce classical music to audiences, presenting them in a friendly and approachable way and "taking audiences on a musical journey."[2]

Since the orchestra's Creation, the ensemble has been led by

government grants[1], Milton Keynes City Council[2] and The Rothschild Foundation[8]. The orchestra also currently holds the position of ‘Orchestra in Residence’ at The University of Buckingham[9].The ensemble has played in and around Milton Keynes, Buckingham [10]and wider Buckinghamshire, previous concerts being held at The Venue [11], The Stables theatre [12], and Aylesbury Waterside Theatre [13], and recent soloists include Anna Hashimoto (Clarinet)[14] and Craig Greene (Piano)[15], who is the 'Alina Orchestra Artist in Residence[15]

Alina's motto is that 'Music is for everyone'[16][2] and its performances have previously been described as a 'well-worth and addictive experience'[17]
