Doug Lito is an American actor, film director and former lieutenant commander for the United States Navy.

Personal Life

Lito is from Coronado, California.[1]

Career

Lito is a former fighter pilot for the

San Diego, California.[2] As lieutenant commander, he flew in missions over Iraq,[3] served on the USS Essex[4] and was a liaison officer for Carrier Air Wing Five at Naval Air Facility Atsugi before relocating to Yokota Air Base.[5] Upon retiring, he took up acting after working eleven days as an extra in Top Gun: Maverick.[2]

Lito won a Telly Award for The Signal, a film featuring a new SOS hand gesture for bystanders to recognize human trafficking victims in distress.[6]
