Draft:Home-culture-centrism
Home culture-centrism is a unconscious bias to not consider outside culture values when trying to tell a "universal" story in a medium of fiction or craft some policy which is fair or impartial towards cultures outside one's own.
Fiction
Many films & TV programs of today are a product of the culture in which they are produced.
Translation
Many films are produced in the US in which the translation convention is used, which is a glaring example of overlaying US culture or English speaking culture onto some other culture, people, place & time which are non-American or non-English speaking.
