Draft:List of Five Nights at Freddy's characters

Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

This is a list of characters from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. The franchise originally was centered around a series off independently-developed point and click horror video games before expanding to other mediums of media.

Animatronics

The first game features four main anthropomorphic mascot characters: Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy the Pirate. A yellow apparition of Freddy Fazbear, nicknamed "Golden Freddy" occasionally appears as an easter egg.

Several variations of these characters appear frequently throughout the series, alongside new ones.

Introduced in Five Nights at Freddy's

  • Freddy Fazbear is the titular character of the franchise, game, and pizzeria where the game is set. The brown animatronic bear wears a black bow tie and top hat and holds a microphone with four fingers on each hand. Within the game, Cawthon programmed Freddy's laugh to help indicate to players where Freddy is. Players of the first game who drain the remaining power in the building will hear Freddy approach the building and prepare to jumpscare the player whilst a music box rendition of the Toreador Song plays.[1][2] In the second game, the character is referred to as Withered Freddy as an allusion to this model being an older incarnation of the character compared to the newer "toy" models introduced in the game.[3][4][5]
  • Bonnie the Rabbit is a blue anthropomorphic rabbit who plays the guitar with a red bowtie. In the first game,
  • Chica the Chicken is a yellow chicken who wears a bib saying "Let's Eat",
  • Foxy The Pirate Fox is a red fox with an eyepatch and brown shorts having exposed endoskeleton legs.
  • Golden Freddy, originally referred to in the game's source code as "yellow bear", is a rendition of Freddy Fazbear with a golden exterior as opposed to Freddy's brown. In the first game, the character can be summoned by looking at a specific poster featuring his face or typing in "1-9-8-7" into the 7th custom night. In the first game, any summoning of Golden Freddy crashes the game without proper evasion techniques. The character, especially Golden Freddy's backstory, is the subject of intense debate amongst the fandom, and is often considered to be core to the franchises' story.[6][5]

  • The Puppet (voiced by Jena Rundus in Ultimate Custom Night) plays a prominent role in the backstory of Five Nights as Freddy's as the one responsible for the murdered children's spirits haunting the animatronics. In Pizzeria Simulator, it is revealed that the Puppet is haunted by the spirit of Charlotte, the daughter of William Afton's former business partner and the other Fazbear Entertainment co-founder, Henry Emily, who is implied in several minigames to be Afton's first victim.

In the minigames of Sister Location and the canon ending of Pizzeria Simulator, she is revealed to be possessed by Elizabeth Afton (voiced by Zehra Jane Naqvi in Sister Locations cutscenes), the daughter of William Afton and sister of Michael and the Crying Child. Her motives differ in the two games, as in the former she wishes to escape the facility where she and the other Funtime Animatronics are being held by occupying Michael's body, while in the latter she seeks to make her father proud by killing Michael. Circus Baby has been a recurring character in other Five Nights at Freddy's media since.[citation needed]
