Sherri Malloy Beatty-Arthur is an American lawyer from who has served as a magistrate judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia since 2020. She is a nominee to serve as a judge of the same court.
Education
Beatty-Arthur received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Maryland, College Park in 1995, a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law in 1998 and a Master of Business Administration from University of Maryland, University College in 2011.[1][2]
Career
From 1999 to 2003, Beatty-Arthur was an attorney at the

On November 15, 2023, President Joe Biden announced his intent to nominate Beatty-Arthur to serve as a judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.[1] On November 27, 2023, her nomination was sent to the Senate. President Biden nominated Beatty-Arthur to the seat vacated by Judge Carol Dalton, who retired on January 30, 2020.[3] Her nomination is pending before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.[4]
Personal life
She is married to Judge Errol Rajesh Arthur.[5]
