Dual mode propulsion rocket
Dual mode rocket fuels, liquid hydrogen and more dense hydrocarbon fuels, like RP-1, which are all burned with liquid oxygen.[1]
Dual mode systems are either

, and conducts the remainder of its mission in a simple, predictable monopropellant fashion.
