HistoryOn October 14, 1972, diplomatic relations between China and the Maldives were established. The embassy was opened on May 26, 2009.[3] Address1-5-31, Jianguomenwai Diplomatic Compound, No. 1, Jianwai Xiushui Street, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100600, People’s Republic of China[4] AmbassadorFrom 28 August 2019 to 8 September 2023, Aishath Azeema served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.[5][6] As of April 2024, the embassy is led by Deputy Ambassador Huda Ali Sharif.[7] References
