Biography

Early life

He was born in the

Alsace-Lorraine, as well as rector of the University of Strasbourg, and he would hold the latter position until 1887.[3]

Career and later life

Ledderhose received his medical degree from the University of Strasbourg in 1880, after which he practiced surgery at the
