George Frederick Arthur Belcher etcher and painter of genre, sporting subjects and still life.
He was born in
Tatler and Vanity Fair. His work was also part of the painting event in the art competition at the 1928 Summer Olympics.[1]
Belcher exhibited at the
Royal Academician (R.A.) 1946. His first one-man show was at the Leicester Galleries in 1909. He died at Chiddingfold, Surrey on 3 October 1947. A retrospective exhibition was held at Cranleigh
Hall in 1954.
