George Edwin MacLean (August 31, 1850 – May 3, 1938) was the eighth President of the University of Iowa, serving from 1899 to 1911.[1]

Biography

George Edwin MacLean was born in Rockville, Connecticut, on August 31, 1850.[2]

He was an alumnus of

University of Nebraska.[3]

He married Clara S. Taylor on May 20, 1874.[2]

MacLean died at his home in Washington, D.C., on May 3, 1938.[4]
