It is not one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines; rather, its purpose is to explain certain aspects of Wikipedia's norms, customs, technicalities, or practices. It may reflect differing levels of consensus and vetting.

Options can be set to filter and display recent changes according to the preferred criteria (present at the top of the recent changes page, containing three sections: "This page", "Utilities" and "About us"). The available filters are

living people, new editors' contribs, IPs' contribs, mobile contribs and by namespace. It can also be filtered according to tags

by typing in the specific one, such as "Visual edit", "large plot addition" or "blanking", etc.
