History

Hoffman was platted in 1887, and named for Robert C. Hoffman, a railroad official.^[5] A post office has been in operation at Hoffman since 1887.^[6]

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.07 square miles (5.36 km²), all land.^[7]

Minnesota State Highways 27 and 55 are two of the main routes in the community.
