Club career

De Geus started playing hockey at

Kampong.[3] In the 2022–23 season he won the Golden Stick as the best player of the season.[4]

International career

In November 2016, de Geus was selected for the

2019 EuroHockey Championship.[7] They won the bronze medal by defeating Germany 4–0.[8] He was named the under-21 player of the tournament.[9] In December 2019, he was nominated for the FIH Rising Star of the Year Award.[10]
