Josephine is a city in Collin and Hunt Counties in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 2,119 at the 2020 census,[4] and according to 2023 census estimates, the city is estimated to have a population of 7,113.[5]
Geography
Josephine is located in southeastern Collin County at 33°03′40″N 96°18′26″W / 33.06111°N 96.30722°W (33.0612291, -96.3072028).[3]
A small portion extends east into Hunt County. It is 24 miles (39 km) northeast of Garland and 14 miles (23 km) southwest of Greenville.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.877 square miles (4.86 km2), of which, 1.807 square miles (4.68 km2) is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 km2) is water.[2]

There were 205 households out of which 45.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.3% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.0% were non-families. 15.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.90 and the average family size was 3.22.
In the city the population was spread out with 29.1% under the age of 18, 9.8% from 18 to 24, 29.3% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 7.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 111.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 106.4 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $34,750, and the median income for a family was $41,250. Males had a median income of $30,625 versus $23,333 for females. The
