History
Kōjiro Station was opened on 13 July 1917 as signal stop and was elevated to a full passenger station on 11 October 1944. With the privatization of the
Japan National Railway
(JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan railway Company (JR West).
