Landing Zone Professional (also known as FSB Professional or Hill 185) is a former U.S. Army base northwest of
Quang Tin Province, Vietnam
.
History
The base was established in 1968 by the
23rd Infantry Division and was located approximately 32 km northwest of Chu Lai and 16 km southwest of Landing Zone East.[1]
The base was occupied by elements of the
1st Brigade, 101st Airborne were deployed to the area near Professional to lift the siege. CH-47B Chinook #67-18458 was hit by PAVN fire and crashed with no fatalities.[2]
