History

Libby Township was named for Mark Libby, a fur trader in the 19th century.[4]

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.1 square miles (93.5 km2), of which 34.7 square miles (90.0 km2) is land and 1.4 square miles (3.5 km2), or 3.76%, is water.[3]
