Lina Marulanda (born Lina María Marulanda Cuartas; 15 May 1980[2] – 22 April 2010[2]) was a Colombian television personality and model.

In 2002, she debuted as a presenter at CM& News.[2] She later worked at Caracol News for six years,[2] where she presented the 0700 edition and the international section of the broadcast.[citation needed] Beginning in 2003, she presented the entertainment portion of the evening news alongside actress Margarita Ortega and later alongside model Adriana Arboleda.[citation needed]
In December 2005, Marulanda went on to lead the entertainment portion of Caracol News at 12:30, with journalist and presenter Ivan Lalinde.[citation needed]

She was a spokesmodel for major brands of clothing, and appeared in magazines including SoHo, Don Juan, Cromos, and G.[citation needed]
Death
On 22 April 2010, Marulanda died upon falling from the balcony of her sixth-floor apartment.[2][3][4] Her death was considered a suicide.[4] Marulanda was with her parents, ex-husband, and a doctor at the time.[4] She was in the midst of divorce proceedings with Carlos Oñate, her second husband, to whom she had been married for only three months.[3]
