Rachel Lindsay Rene Bush and Sidney Robyn
Careers
Prior to Little House on the Prairie debuting on September 11, 1974, they starred in the made-for-television drama Sunshine (1973), as Jill Hayden. In 1978, in the season-five Little House episode "The Godsister", the sisters are shown together playing different characters. The twins' final appearance on the series was on May 10, 1982.
In the final season of the show, the absence of the family members (except Laura) was explained by their relocation to Burr Oak, Iowa, in search of a better life. However, several months later, the series was cancelled. In the opening credits, there was a scene of one of the twins running in a meadow with the credit "Lindsay Sidney Greenbush," which led some viewers to believe it was the full name of one actress. Throughout the series, Sidney had broken her arm multiple times and had to wear a cast, so Lindsay mostly portrayed the character of Carrie.
