Listed buildings in Hilldale

Andertons Mill, and is almost entirely rural. Apart from a medieval
cross base, the listed buildings are all houses, farmhouses, or farm buildings.

Medieval (probable) The cross base is in sandstone, and consists of a roughly rectangular boulder with a socket toward the south end.[2]
Bannister Farmhouse

17th century The farmhouse was later extended and altered. It is in sandstone with a slate roof, and has two storeys. There is a central two-bay section, flanked by one-bay cross wings of different sizes. The windows are mullioned, and the doorway has plain reveals. At the rear of the left-hand wing is a stair turret.[3][4]
Stoney Lane Farmhouse

Mid 17th century The house has been altered and extended. It is in
lintel. The windows are casements.[5]
Barn, Sanderson House Farm

Late 17th century The barn is in
quoins, doorways, windows and ventilation slits.[6]
Gate piers and wall,
Sanderson House Farm

18th century The gate piers and garden wall are in sandstone. The two piers have a square plan, moulded cornices and ball finials. The wall has saddleback coping, and runs along the east and north sides of the garden.[7]
Fairhurst Hall

Mid 18th century) The house contains some material from the 16th century. It is in brick with
quoins, and a cornice. The central doorway has a rusticated surround, and the windows are sashes. Inside the house some wattle and daub infill is visible.[8]
Sanderson House Farmhouse

Mid 18th century (probable) A
lintels are projecting bands. Above the upper floor windows there are gablets.[9]
