Liu Shyh-fangOklahoma State University and is a member of the Democratic Progressive Party. She was deputy secretary-general of the office of President Chen Shui-bian.[3]

Liu obtained her bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from
Interior ministry
On 12 April 2024, Liu was appointed to Cho Jung-tai's incoming cabinet as Minister of the Interior.[5]
