Rukmini "Mini" Timmaraju is an American lawyer and

NARAL Pro-Choice America, since 2021. She previously worked for Planned Parenthood, Comcast, the Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential campaign and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. She earned a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center
.

Early life and education

Rukmini Timmaraju was born on February 25, 1973,

William P. Clements High School and became a graduate in 1991. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in development studies and international area studies in 1995 from the University of California, Berkeley. She earned a J.D. in 1999 from the University of Houston Law Center.[2]

Career

Timmaraju held various positions with

Comcast Corporation/NBCUniversal as director of external affairs and diversity, equity, and inclusion. During the Biden administration, she worked for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in 2021 as the senior adviser to the director.[3]

In November 2021, Timmaraju was named president of

NARAL Pro-Choice America. She was the first woman of color to be named president of the organization.[3]
