Nicolae Ungureanu (born 11 October 1956) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a defender.

Career

He was born in

Steaua București, where he helped win the league in 1988 and 1989.[3] He played in the 1988/89 European Cup Final against AC Milan, when Steaua lost 4–0.[4] His last Divizia A match came for Rapid București in 1993.[3] The game ended in a 0–5 loss against Universitatea Craiova.[3]

Ungureanu got 56 caps and scored 1 goal for the

Euro 1984.[1] He played in 71 European Cup matches, scoring one goal.[3]
