Pratappur is a village in

haat.[2] It belongs to the nyaya panchayat of Behta Kalan.[3]

The

1951 census recorded Pratappur (as "Partabpur") as comprising 1 hamlet, with a total population of 124 people (70 male and 54 female), in 28 households and 27 physical houses.[4] The area of the village was given as 139 acres.[4] 8 residents were literate, all male.[4] The village was listed as belonging to the pargana of Sareni and the thana of Sareni.[4]

The

1961 census recorded Pratappur as comprising 1 hamlet, with a total population of 158 people (111 male and 47 female), in 48 households and 47 physical houses.[5] The area of the village was given as 139 acres.[5]

The

1981 census recorded Pratappur as having a population of 268 people, in 40 households, and having an area of 55.04 hectares.[6] The main staple foods were listed as wheat and rice.[6]

The
