Rajapakshe Wasala Tennakoon Mudiyanselage Ranjith Bandara (born 4 November 1961) is a Sri Lankan economist, academic, politician and Member of Parliament.[1]

Bandara was born on 4 November 1961.

Agricultural University of Norway (1995) and PhD in economics from the University of Queensland (2003).[2][3][4]

Bandara was a senior lecturer at the University of Colombo's Department of Economics before becoming a professor.

Bandara is the author of The Economics of Human-Elephant Conflict.[2] He was a director on the National Livestock Development Board, Sri Lanka-Libya Agricultural and Livestock Development Company and Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka.[2][4]
